Running has been my passion for years. After having children, I decided to train for my first marathon. Since then, I have completed over 10 marathons, 3 of them at Boston. Running brings happiness to my life and allows me to be an example of strength for my daughters, Cora and Sophie.
Using motivating and encouraging techniques, I am committed to sharing the valuable lessons learned during my years of training. I am excited for the opportunity to help the Speedsters develop healthy practices for racing and discover their limitless potential.
As a coach, I try to pass on the philosophies, training and racing experiences that I've learned over the years while training for and competing in Ironman triathlons and in over a dozen marathons. As an endurance athlete you learn the value of setting a goal, maintaining a positive attitude, and focusing on "running your own race." Those same principles transfer easily to track & field. I coach because I enjoy seeing young athletes succeed in what they enjoy doing, but also because I enjoy the quality time I can spend with my son, Adam.
